What type of vessel is Rising Tide? And what is her size?
She is a two mast Schooner converted to a motor-cruise vessel with a large canopy, providing
excellent shade from the tropical sun or rain. Measures 26m in length and is equipped with a
Caterpillar engine with fuel capacity of 4 tonnes. Steel hull built in Marmaris, Turkey in 1988.
Fitted with modern navigational instruments, powered dinghy, safety equipment, electric generators
and 25-passenger life raft.
What about her crew?
The helm onboard is a qualified and experienced captain aided by one or two deck hand.
Where is she berthed?
She is berthed at SAF Yacht Club, 110 Tanah Merah Coast Road Singapore 498800
(next to Changi Naval Base).
How many people can Rising Tide accommodate?
For day and evening charter, she can accommodate up to 20 guests.
What facilities do you have onboard?
There is lots of deck space. Below deck there are 3 cabins with ensuite bathrooms, a freshwater shower
at the back of the top deck, music system with ipod hook-up (so that you can bring your own music).
What about overnight accomodation?
There are three air-conditioned cabins, all with ensuite bathroom and toilet. With hot-water
shower, airline-style flush toilet. Bed sheets and bath-towers provided. Master bedroom sleeps two
persons, plus one child. Other two guest cabins have double bed and extra single bunk.
Recommended for 6-8 adults for maximum comfort. Spacious airconditoned dining salon.
Electricity is 220 household volt from generators, plus 12 and 24 volt from batteries. There is a
library with travel guides and classic books for onboard borrowing. The crew's quarters and
bathroom in aft deck.
What about her Galley?
It is refitted with Amana refrigerator with ice-maker, filtered hot and cold water machine,
two gas burners, De Dietrich oven, refrigerated wine chest and additional drinks refrigerator.
What is the normal cruising route?
The normal route will be towards the south (city skyline) and islands or north towards Tekong and Ubin
(nice mangrove/nature setting). The northern route is usually done in the day, and the southern route
in the evening. Special arrangements can be made to visit Batam/Bintan and the Malaysian islands.
Where can we stop for a swim or to do some fishing?
We have some areas marked on our GPS for fishing and if you would like to swim, we can head for the
Southern islands for calm waters. Or north to Pulau Ubin. Call us for your choices.
What is the popular 5 hour cruise itinerary?
The Southern Islands is a popular destination. Depending on tide schedule, we take between 1-2 hours
one way to get there. Making it possible to anchor off the islands for an hour or so for some beach
or swimming activities. If more time is desired, we suggest you extend the charter for another hour.
Can we embark/disembark anywhere else?
Not at the moment, embarkation & disembarkation is only at the SAF Yacht Club.

What about motion sickness and should I bring my own sea sick pills?
Yes, we suggest that guests who are susceptible to motion sickness, take the pill at least 30 minutes
prior to boarding. Once motion sickness sets in - taking a pill is way too late. But not all is lost.
Stay on top deck at all times and look at the sea horizon - it can help reduce the sickness effect.
The recommended dress code?
Light casual wear - jeans, shorts, T-shirt and anything comfortable. Only boat shoes are allowed on
deck. No footwear in cabins and lower compartments.
Are infants allowed onboard?
For safety reasons, we do not recommend children below the age of 4 years old.

We will have to ask for your understanding and to leave them at home.
Can Rising Tide do trips outside Singapore waters?
Yes, namely Sebana Cove (Johor), Nongsa Marina (Batam). Please contact us for details.
Do you have diving and snorkelling facilities onboard?
There are 3 diving tanks, masks and fins, 4 weight belts, 2 regulators and basic oxygen-pump onboard.
More can be hired at extra cost. Divers to be self-equipped, certified and experienced enough to dive
without a dive-master. Hiring a dive-master to accompany a group, can be arranged. For snorkelling,
bring your personal masks and fins. Life jackets are available. Fishing equipment onboard is basic.
